Busigeek | About Doug
Helping entrepreneurs & small businesses grow with systems

Meet Doug

I help owners grow without becoming the person everything depends on.

Busigeek is for established business owners who already know their craft. I help find what is slowing the business down, recommend what to fix, and build the systems that give you room to grow.

You tell me about the business.I recommend what to fix.I build what you need.

Why Busigeek exists

The website was rarely the real problem.

I started Busigeek building websites for small businesses. The next question was almost always, “Okay… now how do I get customers?”

What I kept seeing was bigger than a website problem. Owners were spending their best hours on work that had to get done—but did not necessarily need them to do it.

They needed follow-up. Better handoffs. Cleaner systems. A clearer path from interest to customer. They needed someone who could look at the business, recommend the right fix, and then help build it—without requiring a huge team or another pile of software.

That became Busigeek.

How I think about the work

The business problem comes first.

Technology is a tool. The real job is deciding where your time, leads, customers, or growth are getting stuck—and fixing the right thing first.

01

Understand the business.

I want to know what you sell, how people buy, what happens next, and what keeps landing back on your plate.

02

Recommend the right move.

Keep what works. Fix what matters. Remove what adds complexity. Build only what earns its place.

03

Actually implement it.

You should not leave with a recommendation deck and another project to manage. I can help put the solution in place.

The owner-leverage rule

Your best hours should go to the work only you can do.

Selling. Serving clients. Making decisions. Improving the offer. Building relationships. That is where the owner's attention creates the most value.

Not all work is created equal.

Fixing tech and chasing loose ends may be necessary. That does not mean it deserves the same share of your calendar.

Systems should buy back capacity.

A good system makes the business easier to run. If the “solution” gives you another dashboard to babysit, it is not finished.

Simple beats impressive.

I would rather connect the tools you already have than rebuild the business around something new just because it is trendy.

Direct access

You work with the person doing the thinking.

No account manager translating your business to someone else. No mystery handoff between strategy and implementation.

What that means

You can talk about the business in normal language.

Tell me what you want to happen, what is breaking, or what feels harder than it should. My job is to translate that into a recommendation and a working technical path.

Client proof

Less on your plate. More confidence in the business.
